Standard rod ends are for general purpose applications and are a 2-piece design with a low carbon steel body and a hardened steel ball without a race (metal to metal contact). Applications: Clutch, brake, steering linkage, & suspension components on moderate horsepower applications. Assembly Tip: To ease assembly, be sure to run a tap or die through the threads on chrome plated fasteners and apply an anti-seize compound to prevent galling of the threads.
